Best Floral Design of the Year Award

The Best Floral Design of the Year Award honors an exceptional floral designer or wedding professional who demonstrated outstanding creativity, craftsmanship, and vision through floral design. This award celebrates florals that elevate the wedding experience—whether through breathtaking installations, innovative use of color and texture, or seamless integration with the overall wedding design.

This award recognizes florals that don’t just decorate a space—but define it.

Who Is Eligible

• ABC Members in good standing

• Floral Designers, Wedding Planners, or Design Teams

• Design must be from a real wedding or event completed within the award year

• Open to traditional, luxury, cultural, destination, or sustainable designs

(Planner + florist collaborations are encouraged and may be noted in submissions.)

Judging Criteria

Submissions will be evaluated on:

1. Creativity & Innovation
   – Unique concepts, fresh approaches, and original design execution

2. Design Cohesion
   – How well the florals complement the overall wedding aesthetic, venue, and theme

3. Technical Excellence
   – Quality of execution, mechanics, scale, and attention to detail

4. Visual Impact
   – “Wow factor,” emotional response, and photographic presence

5. Client Vision Execution
   – How successfully the floral design brought the couple’s vision to life

Submission Requirements

• 5–10 high-resolution professional images

• Short design description (250–300 words) including:

• Design inspiration

• Color palette & floral elements

• Venue & event type

• Names of collaborating professionals (planner, florist, venue, photographer)

• Written photographer permission (per ABC guidelines)
