Educator of the Year Award

The Educator of the Year Award honors an exceptional educator who has made a lasting impact on the wedding and events industry through teaching, mentorship, and professional development. This award recognizes an individual who goes beyond delivering content—shaping careers, inspiring confidence, and elevating industry standards.

This honor celebrates educators who invest in people, not just programs.

Who Is Eligible

• ABC Certified Wedding Educators or approved instructors

• ABC Members in good standing

• Educators teaching:

• ABC courses

• Partnered education programs

• Industry workshops, certifications, or continuing education

• Must have taught or mentored students during the award year

Judging Criteria

Nominees will be evaluated on:

1. Impact on Students
   – Measurable outcomes, student success stories, and career advancement

2. Quality of Instruction
   – Clarity, engagement, curriculum strength, and learning outcomes

3. Industry Leadership
   – Thought leadership, innovation, and contribution to industry education

4. Mentorship & Accessibility
   – Support beyond the classroom, guidance, and ongoing mentorship

5. Alignment with ABC Values
   – Ethics, professionalism, inclusion, and community building

Submission Requirements

• Nomination form completed by:

• Students, peers, or ABC leadership

• 2–3 written testimonials (students or industry professionals)

• Short impact statement (300–400 words) including:

• Courses taught

• Number of students impacted

• Teaching philosophy and outcomes

• Supporting materials (links to programs, workshops, publications)
