Sandals and Beaches Resort Names Have Changed: A Reference for ABC Members

If a familiar Sandals or Beaches resort looks different in a search result or client proposal, you may be seeing a new name—not a new property.

Sandals and Beaches have renamed 15 Caribbean resorts: 14 Sandals properties and one Beaches property. The updated names place the destination more prominently in each resort’s identity. The name change itself does not mean that an existing reservation has moved to another resort or that a property’s facilities have changed.

Here is a quick reference for client conversations and business records:

What members should do now

For upcoming weddings, honeymoons, and group travel, use both names together in client communications for a transition period—for example, “Sandals Jamaica Caribbean Cay (formerly Sandals Royal Caribbean).” Review proposals, websites, CRM records, guest instructions, and marketing materials so couples can recognize the property they intended to book.

When confirming an existing reservation, match the booking confirmation and resort details with Sandals or Beaches. A renamed property should not be mistaken for a different hotel, but the name change is not a substitute for checking availability and operating status.

That distinction is especially important in Jamaica. Sandals currently lists November 18, 2026 as the planned reopening for Sandals Jamaica South Coast and December 18, 2026 for Sandals Jamaica Montego Bay and Sandals Jamaica Caribbean Cay. Confirm the latest status directly before promising a venue, room block, or travel date.

Clear naming helps prevent avoidable confusion for couples and guests. It also gives us an opportunity to demonstrate the value of a knowledgeable wedding professional: someone who can connect the name on an older contract with the property a client sees today—and verify the details that matter beyond the name.
