I had the privilege of learning from ABC Florida State Manager Tammy Waterman over three unforgettable weddings. My first experience, at the Sand Pearl Resort in May 2024, taught me everything from placing hundreds of place cards to orchestrating the flow of a wedding day—from an outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour to a fully transformed indoor reception for 200 guests. Seeing the entire process, including the breakdown, gave me insight into meticulous planning and flawless execution. 

In November 2024, I joined Tammy for back-to-back weddings that pushed my skills even further. One was a tented estate wedding relocated due to hurricane damage. I learned how to navigate outdoor logistics, manage power for lighting and DJs, adjust to last-minute guest count changes, and even safely coordinate a sparkler send-off. The next day, a 450-guest Coptic Orthodox Egyptian wedding taught me the value of endurance, cultural awareness, and precision—like timing the lighting of 1,500 candles without overheating the ballroom or compromising safety.

Through these experiences, I gained firsthand knowledge of large-scale logistics, vendor coordination, and cultural traditions—all while seeing the dedication and energy it takes to bring a wedding to life. Mentorship isn’t just about technique; it’s about absorbing excellence, learning problem-solving in real time, and understanding what it takes to exceed client expectations.
