Award Description:
The ABC Chapter Program of the Year award recognizes a chapter program that demonstrates superior achievement in planning, production, and execution. This award honors programs with exceptional educational content, thematic design, and presentation that engage members and elevate the ABC experience.

Nomination Overview (150 words)

Provide a concise overview highlighting how your program exemplifies excellence. Address the following:

  • How would you describe the event?

  • How did it meet the purpose, theme, goals, and objectives set by the chapter?

  • What unique or creative qualities were present in the program?

  • How did these elements elevate the content, theme, and presentation to an award-winning level?

This overview may be used in promotional materials, and ABC reserves the right to modify it. Highlight the program’s creativity, member engagement, and educational impact to set the tone for the full nomination.

Nomination Details (350-500 words)

Answer all prompts in order, leaving space between responses:

  1. Speakers / Presentations:

  • Identify the speaker, panel, or presentation topic.

  1. Décor & Technical Elements:

  • Describe décor, lighting, special effects, entertainment, and staging used to support the event theme.

  1. Venue / Event Site:

  • Provide location details and any unique challenges or opportunities presented by the venue.

  1. Catering / Food & Beverage:

  • Describe how the catering, food and beverage design, and menu aligned with the program theme.

  1. Marketing / Communications:

  • Explain primary marketing strategies, including emails, social media, press releases, or print materials.

  • Describe how these contributed to the program’s success, increased contributions, or boosted attendance.

  1. Member Participation:

  • Provide the percentage of chapter members attending out of total membership.

Supporting Materials for Submission

To receive full credit, upload the following:

  • Event planning timeline, day-of timeline, and agenda

  • List of event sponsors (identify ABC members), products/services, and cash or in-kind donations

  • List of vendors and paid services (identify ABC members)

  • Board/committee involvement, total number of attendees, and breakdown of members vs guests/nonmembers

  • Budget, revenue, and expense spreadsheet

  • 5–6 high-quality photos of the event or program

  • 1–2 marketing materials (social media posts, emails, press releases, menu cards, etc.)

  • Optional video segment (max 2 minutes, via Vimeo or YouTube)

Who Should Apply

  • Chapters that have executed a high-quality, educational, and engaging program

  • Programs that showcase creative or innovative design, décor, or thematic presentation

  • Programs with strong marketing, communications, and member engagement strategies

  • Programs that demonstrate measurable impact, including member participation and community involvement
