Every Business Has an Era: Find Yours at the 2026 ABC Midwest Retreat

"Every business has an era—and this weekend, wedding professionals embraced theirs."

The Association of Bridal Consultants was thrilled to welcome wedding professionals from across the Midwest for the 12th Annual ABC Midwest Retreat at the breathtaking French Lick Resort and historic West Baden Springs Hotel in French Lick, Indiana.

Over two days, planners, designers, florists, photographers, venues, caterers, filmmakers, stationers, pastry artists, and other creative professionals came together to learn, collaborate, and celebrate the ever-evolving journey of building a successful wedding business.

Celebrating Every Business Era

This year's theme, "Every Business Has an Era," reminded us that every wedding professional is continually growing, evolving, and discovering new ways to serve clients and elevate their businesses.

Whether attendees were just beginning their entrepreneurial journey or were seasoned industry veterans, each educational session provided practical ideas and inspiration for the next chapter of their business.

Inspiring Education from Industry Leaders

One of the highlights of the retreat was our keynote presentation by Sasha V. Souza, MWP, who challenged attendees to step confidently into leadership and become trendsetters rather than trend followers.

Her presentation encouraged wedding professionals to trust their creativity, confidently guide clients, and build businesses known for innovation and originality.

Throughout the day, attendees also enjoyed engaging presentations from an incredible lineup of industry experts:

Megan Noll Photography

Attendees learned how to maximize the value of professional wedding photography by turning every event gallery into long-term marketing assets that strengthen branding and increase visibility.

Bobby Eldridge & Michael Gaddie

The floral design experts shared insights on the powerful partnership between planners and florists, demonstrating how collaboration leads to exceptional client experiences and beautifully executed weddings.

Sarah Keeker

Sarah inspired attendees with practical sales strategies designed to help wedding professionals build confidence, create meaningful client relationships, and grow revenue through exceptional service.

Courtenay Lambert

Courtenay reminded attendees that today's couples aren't simply purchasing flowers or décor—they're investing in unforgettable experiences. Her presentation encouraged creatives to confidently communicate their value while delivering extraordinary client experiences.

Networking That Builds Lasting Relationships

One of the most valuable aspects of the Midwest Retreat continues to be the relationships built throughout the weekend.

Between educational sessions, meals, and evening celebrations, attendees had countless opportunities to exchange ideas, build partnerships, and reconnect with colleagues from across the wedding industry.

Many attendees shared that the conversations outside the classroom were just as valuable as the education itself.

A Beautiful Setting for Inspiration

The historic elegance of the West Baden Springs Hotel and the charm of the French Lick Resort provided the perfect backdrop for learning, networking, and celebrating our industry.

From the Friday evening gala to Saturday's educational sessions, every detail contributed to an unforgettable experience.

Thank You to Our Speakers, Sponsors & Attendees

A heartfelt thank you to our outstanding speakers for generously sharing their knowledge and passion with our attendees.

We also extend our sincere appreciation to Bambino International, our Photography & Film Sponsor, for helping capture the memories of this incredible weekend.

Most importantly, thank you to every wedding professional who attended. Your willingness to learn, collaborate, and support one another is what makes the ABC community so special.

Looking Ahead

As we reflect on another successful Midwest Retreat, we're reminded that every business has seasons of growth, reinvention, and new opportunities.

No matter what era your business is in today, we hope you leave inspired, equipped, and excited for what's next.

We can't wait to see everyone again at future Association of Bridal Consultants educational events.

Until then...

Keep growing. Keep creating. Keep leading.

Because every business has an era—and the best may be yet to come.
