Changes In Social Media

You may have noticed some changes in Social Media. We’ve pulled back on having a ton of different Facebook pages and Instagram pages to help clear up some clutter. Some of the pages were not posted in several years and our members weren’t able to receive the information that they needed to see what changes were being made.

Now as the pages are coming down you can find our main pages that are posted on a regular basis by Cathy MacRae, Vice President of Communications. She gets the word out to our members about important things going on including World of Weddings, Wedding Planner Magazine, and important member news!

  1. Resource Allocation: Managing multiple Facebook pages and groups requires time, effort, and resources. Our State Managers need to focus on creating in-person networking and educational events.

  2. Centralized Communication: A single, centralized page or group allows for more effective communication. Members from different states can interact, share ideas, and collaborate more easily, fostering a stronger sense of community.

  3. Uniformity in Information: Maintaining a uniform source of information is crucial for consistency. A single platform ensures that all members receive the same updates, announcements, and resources, reducing the risk of confusion or misinformation.

  4. Increased Engagement: Having a larger and more diverse community in a single group can lead to increased engagement. Members may find it more valuable to connect with a broader network of professionals rather than limiting themselves to a state-specific group.

  5. Efficient Event Promotion: If the Association of Bridal Consultants organizes events or activities that span multiple states, a centralized platform facilitates efficient promotion and coordination. Members from different regions can participate in or contribute to these events more easily.

  6. Broader Networking Opportunities: A consolidated platform provides members with broader networking opportunities. They can connect with professionals from various states, expanding their network and potentially leading to more collaboration and business opportunities.

  7. Simplified Administration: Managing multiple pages and groups can be administratively challenging. A single platform simplifies the process of moderating discussions, handling member inquiries, and ensuring a consistent posting schedule.

  8. Ease of Navigation: Members may find it more convenient to navigate a single Facebook page or group instead of having to switch between multiple state-specific pages. This can enhance the overall user experience and encourage greater participation.

  9. Consolidated Expertise: By bringing together professionals from different states, the group can benefit from a more diverse range of expertise. Members can share insights and experiences that may be relevant to a broader audience.

  10. Scalability: As the Association of Bridal Consultants grows, managing numerous state-specific pages and groups could become increasingly complex. A centralized platform allows for easier scalability without the need for constant restructuring.

A single, unified online presence can enhance collaboration, communication, and overall member experience within the Association of Bridal Consultants. We hope that you are seeing the difference!
